Here's our new vehicle.

2013 Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid...fully loaded. My husband will be the primary driver and we now both drive hybrids as our other one is a 2009 Ford Escape, which I love. Traded in our 2001 Toyota Camry.

This car gets 47 mpg city driving...the interior is beautiful.

I owned a Honda before our Toyota, and he had a Jeep Cherokee. I was never a big cheerleader of "buying American" when it came to cars which was really ignorant of me.

When we bought our Escape hybrid we did the research and they got great reviews...we had to wait 6 months before it came in as it was when NYC ordered a huge amount as taxis.

We don't need nor wanted a huge SUV like an Escalade/Suburban which are very common where we live, but we do take some trips and with the kids and the dog, it is a perfect vehicle for us.

He did his research on the Fusion and the Lexus hybrid sedan, but we have a lot of respect for Ford regarding the bailout and what you mentioned and love our Escape so we went with the Fusion.

Awesome car!

along with Immolation and Magrudergrind a couple weeks ago. Deicide is coming up here soon. A friend who loves 80s music is taking me to a Psychedelic Furs show in 9 days and Black Sabbath is coming on the 29th. Imma have a hard time fitting all these in in the next several weeks!

I'd go to Black Flag if Henry Rollins was still in the band but I'm not too familiar with anything they've done since he left lol...then again I saw Suicidal Tendencies a couple months ago the only original member is Mike Muir so what do I know? lol THey were still great though. ST and Sick Of It All - they both tore it up.

I saw them several times in the 80's....PF are playing here in a couple of weeks; not sure if we are going.

Was home recently visiting with my old crew and they are going to a show with TSOL and some other bands.

I first saw Napalm Death back in the really late 80's or early 90's and then Cannibal Corpse in the early 90's (back in the Chris Barnes days).

I actually had drinks with Henry Rollins on an off day when he was working with Rollins Band and I was in University.

Those were the days.

was on their Harmony Corruption tour...oddly I never saw Cannibal Corpse until a bout 3 years ago for the first time and then again that show a few weeks ago...

I JUST found out Morbid Angel is playing here a few days before my birthday in December and it's a US tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Covenant so they are playing that in its entirety followed by classic material...and that's just peachy since their newer stuff is kinda weak. lol

That new car smell is heaven! We were sitting in it last night when he was showing me all the bells and whistles and I didn't want to get out.

Hope you and Mrs. V are well.

I am too! I don't have a "keep up with the Joneses" mentality but our Camry was getting embarrassing to drive. It also needed a ton of work which we didn't want to put into it, looked old and drove like crap.

My husband mainly drove it, the poor guy. It's funny, because now the new car makes the old car look not as nice and he gets to mainly drive it so I'm kind of jealous. He deserves it though.

The Escape still looks good but he's going to wash and wax it for me this weekend because that makes it look brand new again; I just wish we didn't have so many damn dings on it. I always keep the interior pretty clean.

Thanks again for the compliments!

He's been able to enjoy it more than I have, but he does travel so I'll be able to drive it more often.

Waiting for AC car parts to be delivered. That job should be completed this week also, I hope.
