I awoke to the ROAR of bullfrogs!

We finally got the big rain we needed last night. The acre sized pond next to my land on BLM property was dry and the bullfrogs were down below ground waiting. Last night was the gully-washer needed to fill the pond. The frogs roar is awesome. It sounds like a hundred large generators. Music to my ears.

My ponds are very low but have water in them, plenty enough but there are no bull frogs this year. None. No tadpoles, no little frogs that jump in when you walk close. It is the strangest thing. We are loaded with tree frogs that sing at night but that is all. Several years ago walking through my yard would stir up 5 or 6 big leopard frogs. Nothing this year. So strange.

Enjoy them. It is so fun to listen to them
