blueberries to vanilla yogurt, ground flax seed and milk. They turned out turquoise. Really pretty and unusual to see in food. If I ever set up a fancy table for a summer feast I'm decorating it with turquoise smoothies.

... to make was parsley. it made the most STUNNINGLY beautiful emerald-green juice
that you could imagine, however it was VERY bitter and, because it was so beautiful,
it took me the longest time to learn that a few DROPS were sufficient.

Super easy to digest without feeling full, or weighted down.
I am a big fan of turquoise, and will see if Alley can reproduce your recipe.

(118,772 posts)seed. Half of a large container of real vanilla yogurt. 3/4 of a cup of vegetable powder, 1 1/2 cups wild blueberries (frozen but thawed), about 5 strawberries, 2 cups 2% milk. Maybe a tsp of sugar. That was it. The more I stirred it the more teal it got because wild blueberries are blue all the way through. I would not use those big cultivated blueberries. They don't taste good. And maybe add a few blueberries at a time till you get that beautiful turquoise color. It tasted great and was not at all too sweet which I liked.
This will make enough for 3 medium sized smoothies.

(9,901 posts)I don't know if we can pull wild blueberries from the local farmers markets, but we will be on the look out.

(3,836 posts)What kind of vegetable powder do you use? I have never heard of it. I make smoothies everyday with greens, carrot, apple and/or beet and frozen berries.. also flax, chia, cinnamon and ginger and coconut oil. I want to quit using so much of the greens every day ( kale, spinach etc) because I don't want an overload of oxalic acid.. but I am not sure how to replace that part of it. Vegetable powder sounds like it might work.
Thanks
