(4,243 posts)I like to listen to it in the middle of winter when I'm longing for the heat and humidity of summer.

I'm melting, oh never mind that was yesterday.
Guess I'm considered melted.

(30,947 posts)I am in the Atlanta area and we have had rain for the past week, so the temperature has stayed in the high 70s to low 80s.

(26,117 posts)In Iowa, the humidity is usually the problem (but the corn loves it). Sometimes it's like breathing through a hot, wet, towel.
Today it's hot, but not too humid (< than 50% humidity right now). The gnats are ridiculous, though. It's fine sitting on the patio in the shade with a beer, DU, and a citronella torch.

(72,300 posts)Down to 96° now.
Outside humidity is 80%.
All 3 parrots are panting. I'm dripping sweat.
Going out to bring in the sheets off the clothesline before nightfall.
We emptied the smaller fish tank after transferring the guppies to the bigger Koi tank.
The Koi is swimming happily in it's new outside pond.
A few beers sounds wonderful right about now. I've earned it.
Jeff R will be drinking a cool lemonade.
Your yard looks lovely, very inviting.
Cheers

(26,117 posts)I set our thermostat to 73 (sometimes 72) in the summer - feels great to come inside after getting too hot outside.
At least the clothes on the line dry super-fast!
I hope you find a way to keep cool!

(3,123 posts)where I am (near DC). I was out earlier today shopping and it felt like 96! I love summer but not the oppressive humidity. Thankfully I'm back inside my condo with the AC on full blast.
