It reminds me of "The Stand," only Stephen King didn't include zombies. The Governor reminds me of Randall Flagg, and Rick reminds me of Stu Redman. Herschel sort of reminds me of Mother Abagail.

Right this minute it's the scene where they're chopping up the zombie body to smear themselves with it. Ugh!

Andrea destroying a zombie by thrusting a nice big screwdriver right through its eye socket. Low-tech but very effective.
