his wedding was a traditional chinese wedding. his wife is from there but now lives in the states. we were there a week, and then spent a couple days in macau, and now are in thailand.
hong kong is just FASCINATING! everyone is so kind and helpful. the shopping area is like nothing i have ever seen before. we spent a week there.
although it has rained daily, thailand is simply AMAZING. just so beautiful and unspoiled. people are so kind.
I could live in thailand! for this country boy from kentucky, i have never seen scenery like it is here. words cant describe, and the food is just, WOW! i will post some pics when we get back home. and to all my DU friends, hold the fort down!

(1,815 posts)I have a friend who was also married in Hong Kong. Great that you had the bonus of going to Thailand too.
Say, you're not following them around, are you?

(4,033 posts)just moved back to Thailand. He lived and worked in the States for about 20 years, has citizenship, retired and moved back home. The one thing he was concerned about is the cost of living in Thailand is rising. He bought a condo in Thailand, similar to the one he had here he paid $375,000 for it. The one here in the States he sold for $110,000.
It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1200 square foot condo in the States, the one in Thailand is 2 bedroom, 2 bath and 985 square feet.
