A walk along the beach at Ambleside... (pics and vids)

Another nice, but rather too hot, day here in Vancouver. This is the Canada long weekend and people are out enjoying themselves. Normally I'd be cooped up at home but on weekends I get out with my parents for some short walks. Yesterday I posted some photos and vids from Deepcove here:

Today it's Ambleside Park. Ambleside is a small strip of a park with a connecting seawall in west vancouver. About a 4-5 min drive from where we live, it's a nice casual saunter along the water. On summer days it's particularly nice:

That's Stanley Park off to the right of the picture. The bridge is of course Lions Gate bridge which connects the North Shore with the rest of Vancouver through the park.

Here are a couple of pan vids that I narrated a bit:

As you can see from that last video people fish for crabs there. While there I caught some vid of a couple of people catching a bunch of them. They were all thrown back in the water though as they were under the legal size:

That now famous wind storm took down well over a thousand trees in the park. The drive from the prospect point lookout down to 3rd beach is now open to the sea where it used to be all shaded by trees. It was just shocking to drive through the park after the storm. Though I suspect you wouldn't notice it in most parts of the park.

Are these threads too big for people? Do they load too slowly. Can people see the videos?
