An Ode to ..."Stuff"

When will it be enough.
I hope to organize soon,'
Will it be today,
Or tomorrow noon?

Stuff, Stuff, Stuff...
Can I ever get rid of stuff?
Throw it out in a huff?
Throw it over there,
Throw it over here
Where did I get this much stuff?

How much is enough?
Of this pile of this stuff?
When will it all be gone?
Probably not for a while
and then I can smile
When I get rid of all these piles of stuff.....

thank you ....hold off the applause....

Organize those books that teach us in several ways...how to keep and organize things..
I had a plethora of organization books till the moment occurred that I realized they needed to be organized immediately into the one way trash. Yes, it was very rash, and somewhat wasteful..but they ain't around here no more....I kept thinking I would read them some day... sure......

I got rid of a 4 bedroom house full of stuff in Texas and moved into a 2 bedroom condo a year ago here in SoCal. Before that, I had a larger, 4 bedroom house in Kansas. Do I miss my stuff? Yeah, but I don't really need it at this point. My kids are grown, have their own lives, and don't care for most of our stuff, except for our art, which we love and can fit in no matter where we are.

First 42 years of my life without a lot of stuff. Mostly because I moved around a lot. Being stuff less is way easier that way. Then i married Mr Pipi #3, who likes stuff. So now I too have lots of stuff which I've been able to collect from having been in the same house for almost 18 years

We say we're cleaning out our stuff, but all that ever happens is that stuff gets moved from here to there and back again

Or...stuff gets thrown out or given away only to be replaced by new stuff.

It's a never ending battle, it seems

especially now that I have trouble getting around well. Who the hell wants to be dodging and tripping over stuff...including furniture.

Not to mention that we both have nasal allergies, so having a lot of stuff means that it's a losing battle trying to keep the place dust-free as much as possible.

In 2010 we tried selling the house, which meant that a lot of stuff had to be removed and hidden someplace (like out in our shed). It felt great. The place didn't sell, and little by little all that stuff is making its way back in.

Argh!
