It happens to be hiding out in Western, NY this week...
High 80's to low 90's all week long with high humidity.
This is the point where us locals pull a 180 and now complain about the heat and humidity after complaining about the lack of summer...

(6,581 posts)I don't mind a few days -- never want to go through anything like the summers of 1988 or 2012 again, hot and miserable.
The good thing about living in the Great Lakes, and probably upstate NY/New England is that the real heat usually stays only a few days, drawn up ahead of a low pressure system/cold front by the preceding warm front, then is out of there after the cold front passes, replaced by cooler, drier Continental Polar air-masses from Canada. Those days in the upper 70's/nights in the low 60's with lower humidity and brilliant blue skies are the best summer weather, not too hot, not too cold.
Hot here this week, too, until about Thursday, then said to only get to about 70 next weekend. I'll take it.

(30,947 posts)I hate summer and wish we could just skip over it and go into fall. I lived in South Florida the majority of my life until I moved to North Georgia. It was great having four seasons and not just summer and spring all year long, but it was mostly summer. I love cold weather, and in summer, I stay in my air-conditioned house or drive in my air-conditioned car to air-conditioned stores.
