Huh. Last week a book I have was listed on Amazon for $185. This week? A little less than $4K

and on Abe, there are two copies, one for almost $1,200 and one for almost $10K.

WTF? Really? Are there any knowledgeable book people out there who can tell me wtf is going on?

3. An art book from 1997. Softcover, which seems to be 5x more $$ than the hardcover.

What may seem old and almost worthless, are coveted by others.

There are many collectors out there, with lots of $$, that will pay a fortune for that one or two books/whatever that will make their collection complete.

Keep watching . . .

and in pristine condition.

Just strange.

I've seen another book that my husband has go from $650+ to $30. I think Amazon is full of speculators, but Abe Books usually has level-headed sellers..which is why I was startled.
