Last day of April...he suffered a massive stroke and died the next day...It has been quite a shock because it came out of the blue...I found him and there was nothing could be done...I miss him so much!
I'm sorry if I don't reply immediately but I am crying...tomorrow is Father's Day

Fathers and Mothers days are done for me now.

(7,350 posts)My Mom passed December 2010, but it had been diagnosed terminal so we had time to prepare for the end.
But for you to lose both parents in such a short period...That is too hard.
Fathers and Mothers days are done for me now also, until I meet this person I keep dreaming about.

(7,350 posts)My dad brooked no bullshit and sometimes I thought he was embarrassing to be around but now I think he was quite correct especially in dealing with businesses...He raised issues...things would get attended to!
I see this as a life changing event actually...I see myself becoming more like him but time will tell.

(7,350 posts)It does hurt, the whole dealing with the estate, seeing appointments marked on the calendar etc...One puts the hurt aside for awhile but then it just rises up and washes over everything.
