Unfortunately it didn't go as planned. I lost my breath somewhere around the 2 mile mark and couldn't recover. I ended up running 25:30 and I was no where near the top finishers. I've been pissed at myself all day.

Proper hydration begins before the race even begins, but I guess you already know that.

Off topic, but how are the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure events being received/viewed in your area among you and your fellow runners?

I won't run in it since I don't support the cause and I haven't heard anyone else talk about it either. On any given weekend there are 2 or 3 races around the area so it makes it easier to find a cause you support. If I hear anything I'll let you know.
