Only left to plant is corn. Direct sowing that.
So far, 2 flats of tomatoes, a flat of pepper, 1 1/2 flats of various brassica crops, a flat of vine crops, 5 lbs of seed potatoes, which are very late, but weather was very cold here until now. Also a smattering of misc stuff, basil, celery, beets, an experimental late planting of leaf lettuce.

(6,581 posts)I have found two commercial types that taste pretty good from the grocery store, Campari brand salad tomatoes and Kumato brand black tomatoes. I don't know how widely they are distributed nationally, but all of the major grocery chains here carry them.

(130,908 posts)Haven't tried Kumato yet, but may do.
Farmers market I discovered last year when traveling between my 'country' home and my 'city' home had the BEST strawberries EVER! Will phone them to find out whether they're available yet. Daughter has harvested some here in Maryland already, and said they were good.

(6,581 posts)I should plant some - great in pasties, which are a Michigan specialty via Cornish miners back in the 19th century.

(9,077 posts)I'll bet the Cornish miners looked great in them.

(6,581 posts)Too late for spring radishes here, but I try to plant Daikon and Black Spanish as a fall crop every year.

(8,462 posts)With all this rain I've been lucky with getting fruit. Unlucky that the raccoons get to the almost ripe berries before i do.
I have a block about 100 feet long by 2 feet wide. They are 2-3 weeks from ripening here, depending upon variety and weather.
