Today's forecast: is calling for rain and thunda. It's definitely a stay inside day, so I'm going to hit the multi-plex with 26 screens. There are several movies out right now that I've been wanting to see and with a little planning I can catch them one after the other. And all at matinee prices.
My list for this morning:
1. Now You See Me @ 10:35
2. Star Trek @ 12:55
3. After Earth @ 3:40
I just have to remember to go out and buy the ticket for each show. Sometimes I forget and end up only spending $9.00 for three movies.
Of course there's the $127.00 I need for the concessions.
This is my answer to a rainy day off.
Tuesday Afternoon
(56,912 posts)The first two movies I had the whole theatre to myself. Pretty cool.
They were all at matinee prices so that helped out cost wise.
It was a refillable popcorn and drink and that was easy on the budget, too.
It was fun but, I have forgotten what Three Movies I saw.
This was about twelve years ago and I can hardly remember what I did yesterday

(62,416 posts)sure was a good time.
Back when I was a kid (oh shit - there he goes) a Saturday at the movies got you a cartoon, a short, a newsreel, and a double feature all for the price of one ticket. Parents would drop us at 1 and pick us up @ 6.

(3,065 posts)For $3.00 I could go see a triple feature of monster movies plus a popcorn and a coke.
Good times.
