Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsIMO Its now summer; So what are 'your' definative songs of summer?
Must add the song of my endless-summer teenage years (which strangely never ended!);

(5,604 posts)though I didn't really like it much at the time, I give it credit for sounding like some really aestival, obscure Pink Floyd from their sound track for hire days!

(53,032 posts)I went to college with Bob Mould. I hung out with him because of a mutual friend.

(13,324 posts)Husker Du has been one of my favorite bands for a good decade, since I was in college myself.

(53,032 posts)but my friend had a huge crush on him, and since it turns out he was gay, his aloofness is understandable in retrospect. I wouldn't have called him an asshole, but he was a bit standoffish. I just looked up recent pictures of him and I think he's gotten much more attractive with age.

(13,324 posts)His latest album ('Silver Age' from 2012) is quite good also. As well as being his first real "rock" album since the late 90's.

(53,032 posts)that he's older than I am. He was ahead of me in school and I started college at 16. So I'm old but not quite that old.

(4,076 posts)It's not a song, but it's lyrical. And June is the month when summer is supposed to begin (although "June gloom" is frequent here in Los Angeles County).
