Coworker Sex Survey Reveals That 54 Percent Have Had Sex With Work Colleague

Employees are getting busy at their place of business. A Business Insider survey of about 2,500 respondents indicated that 54 percent have had sex with a coworker.

Nearly 85 percent believe they should be allowed to have sex with a colleague, and 64 percent said that they'd at least attempted a hookup by hitting on a coworker.

Business Insider called the results "startling."

and office sofa and desk.....

but it may not count since I was the boss. And she was my wife rather than a co-worker.

And it was on a weekend when nobody else was there and I was just taking care of other business without interruptions from the warehouse.

Boss was an old perv who had been grab happy and trying to get under her skirt for a year, had been calling her "frigid" for refusing his advances, and she was sick of it. He was out of the office for the day, she was his assistant and had his office key, and she'd just been offered a new job elsewhere and was on her way out the door anyway.

She was a fun one, but her next job took her halfway across the country and we quickly lost track of each other. That's life!

And by the time I realized that there was a large component of (t.v. "Survivor&quot strategy in it, it was too late to develop the taste for it. But it certainly cleared up for me several mysteries about how some people had gotten ahead.

Have I recently had sex with a co-worker? No, I've been in a committed relationship for 20 years.

Have I ever had sex with a co-worker? Hell yes.

Put just about any group of people together for several hours a day and relationships will develop. Make it a group of young single people and someone will inevitably hookup.

I'm definitely out of the loop.

Never had sex with a coworker.

Or a boss.

Not that I haven't had crushes, but that's as far as they went.

It was not a scientific survey - the respondents were whoever felt like filling out a survey after reading a Business Insider article. So the results come from a skewed population of people interested in titillating articles about workplace sex.

A true random sampling would likely tell a very different story...

it happened. On lunch break. Often. Never in the office though (not that I didn't try).
