Do you "rec" your own threads??? I did it for the first time ever...

It was a story in "Good Reads" Forum.. about nuts and olive oil. They may help protect the brain from bad stuff. I usually let others "rec" any thread, but this time, I did it. Is that OK???? Do you do that? Is there some kind of "rec police" that will get me???
