when you get called for a jury at DU and when weeded through the mess, do you just give up and cancel your jury service?
I've really tried but I just feel sometimes that I'm either not getting it or the fight has evolved so much that I can't really make my mind up.
I think I've done this more than a dozen times.

(7,515 posts)I was very new to DU at the time. I think it is better to cancel than to flip a coin, which would be the alternative if you can't see the issue clearly. I've served on 2 juries that never reached a verdict as the person was PPRd before the jury verdict was in.

(34,137 posts)I won't deal with issues in certain sub-forums or with some issues in any forum. Some days I think I can deal with being a juror but once I start looking at the alerted message and the thread I just can't.
If it's reduced the chances I'll be called to be a juror, great. I'm pretty tired of doing it.
