Have any of you ever heard a bad word about Hugh Jackman?

Me neither.

Mr. pig and I really dislike musicals, but we Netflixed Les Mis because (a) Hugh Jackman was in it; (b) Mr. pig loves the novel, and (c) I saw the original London production at the Barbican back in 1985, having gotten tickets at the half-price ticket booth in Leicester Square. (The idea of a musical version of Les Miserables seemed quite humorous at the time.) Jean Valjean was played by Colm Wilkinson, who played the bishop in the film. Patti Lupone was Fantine, and could she ever belt a tune.

Anyway, love-love-love Hugh Jackman.

Well, his name seems like it could be a euphemism for a bad word, I guess. (nt) harmonicon May 2013 #11

Point being, the basic story is compelling. (Again, I just can't sit through musicals either. I'd rather have my teeth cleaned.)

But one of my guilty pleasures is celebrity gossip, and Hugh Jackman just comes across as such a darned nice guy and one of those rare people who never has a bad word to say about anyone else either.

This got me through X-Men as well.

But the movie, not so much! LOL Russell Crowe was AWFUL!
And even Anne Hathaway: I repsect that all the actors sang live and they didn't lip sync to playback, but she was just ok. I don't think she deserved to win the Oscar for it, imo.

It's a PBS show about food in Korea. He and his wife are friends with the couple who do the cooking. Quite interesting and enjoyable. Better than Les Mis, that's for sure.
