Another Florida story. Disgruntled ex-employee kills boss' dog.

Florida man accused of beating his boss' dog to death

On Sunday morning, the owner of John’s Automotive in Sarasota and called the Sheriff’s Office to report his four-year-old Mastiff named “Ashton” was missing, according to a news release from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.

Later that day the owner reviewed video surveillance from his business and saw a horrific sight: There were images of a man beating his dog to death.

And the owner recognized the man, Kevin Joseph Koscielniak, a 52-year-old employee who had been asked to leave Saturday after causing a disturbance, the release stated.

After reviewint the surveillance tapes, deputies determined that Koscielniak climbed over a barbed wire fence, killed the dog with a tire iron, wrapped the dog in a blanket, cut the fence to an adjacent business and then dragged the dog onto that property, where he burried the poor pooch in a shallow grave, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The more attention it gets, the more likelihood that he will get the strongest sentence.
