they didn't zoom in close enough but I'd bet a paycheck it's a kevlar glove. We used to have them when I worked for a boat manufacturer as we cut a lot of carpet when installing the interior. The funny thing is it wasn't required to wear one until I nearly sliced off a finger...

I spent 6 horrible weeks one summer when I was in University working as a primary butcher in a slaughterhouse and we had to wear these gloves along with a kevlar apron to make sure we didn't lose fingers or disembowel ourselves cutting primals.
They will save your fingers if you ever need to cut stuff fast.
