Serious injury to his right elbow (broken).
Expecting surgery on Tuesday to set and pin it.
Everything else is fine.
The good news is that the bike is untouched.
He will show up here tomorrow so send him so for god sake send him some love so he will have to answer each hug and well wisher with a hunt and peck left hand reply and thereby keep his mind of the pain.

(112,160 posts)neck just below the elbow joint. I went out on disability for about ten weeks when it occurred since I also injured my shoulder and couldn't maneuver a computer mouse. I hope that you get well soon and that you like your physical therapist.
However, I can't wondering if this may have been you before the injury occurred?
Here is a DU hug for you!

(18,490 posts)Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer has been hospitalized following a bicycle accident yesterday in Washington, D.C., a court spokesperson said today.
"Associate Justice Stephen Breyer underwent reverse shoulder replacement surgery for a proximal humerus fracture this morning at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital," court spokesperson Kathleen Arberg said. "The fracture was sustained in his right shoulder in a fall from his bicycle on Friday afternoon, April 26, near the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital following his injury."
The surgery was successful and Breyer is resting comfortably, the spokesperson said. He is expected to be released from the hospital early in the week.
I'll bet that hurt like hell.

(10,098 posts)Hi,
Ouchie, that looks painful. I just got a new bike that is a lot faster than my other one and has skinny tires. I have been being extra vigilant when I am riding the new one. I hope it heals quickly.
Peace
