Anyone watch/watching Hemlock Grove on Netflix?

I'm on eppy 6 and still not sure whether I like it or not.
I have questions for anyone in the know about a few characters/terms I've heard used:

- What does Peter's cousin keep calling Roman and Olivia? Ooopi's? What does it mean?
- What is the deal with Shelly? Was she a partially-failed attempt to 'bring back' daughter #1?
- "What" is Olivia & what's with the eye drops?

1. I tried watching the first episode. Couldn't get into it. Turned on a rerun of Cheers.

I think, maybe just at 11, I forget.
I am getting close to the end, and I watched it while doing other things so it was tolerable.

Seriously if they want to do a Werewolf Story they should try Wolfencrest - Ookami no Monshou.

To answer your questions:

1 - I have no idea what that is. Upir right? From what I am getting, it is a Vampire that can travel in daylight that penetrates anything with two legs and usually produces sterily offspring.
2 - You're probably right that Shelly is the re-animated first baby, their version of a Frankenstein monster perhaps.
3 - I have no idea what that is for the eyedrops. I just assume it is a drug.

Uupi's are 'Eastern European day-walking vampires'.

I didn't realize there were different kinds of them.

It's (so far) such a great series. Unfortunately, as I'm only on episode two -and a half- I can't answer your questions as I'm just getting started. But when I figure all that out I'll let ya kno.
