(55 posts)I wa surprised -- this was not a just a shoot them up sci-Fi. It was cerebral, and thoughtful. It's fault is that it might be a bit slow for most people. But it was really beautiful... and had a great surprise plot .... not just not an action film.
This movie is for Sci-Fi fans --- and action fans too - especially the end.
It had in-depth story - increbdible world vison.

(6,261 posts)The films I like always get described as too slow these days, so that's definitely an endorsement.
Just read the imdb synopsis:
One of the few remaining drone repairmen assigned to Earth, its surface devastated after decades of war with the alien Scavs, discovers a crashed spacecraft with contents that bring into question everything he believed about the war, and may even put the fate of mankind in his hands.
As for slow, I remember seeing Aliens in the theatre when that came out. I enjoyed it, but I actually felt exhausted by the end of it like I'd been on a roller coaster. Heard someone say the other day that his 9-year old thought it was slow and boring.
