(102,236 posts)spring takes a little pause for a heavy, wet blizzard. Now, THAT's the real spring time in the rockies.

(102,236 posts)I got up early this morning to dig out and run my most vital errands (along with a little stop at the off-leash dog park for my furry sweetie, Sophie)... I know there is a foot out on the patio railings already and it is coming down HARD.
Glad I took the time during our last little storm to find my gaiters since I'd decided to wait to replace my worn out boots until next year.
Let it snow though... WE NEED THE MOISTURE!

the brunt of it is supposed to hit tonight but they've already sent the kids home from school. the plows don't seem to have been very busy today, we live the intersection of two primary snow routes and it looks a mess. i don't have to work for a few more hours and am wondering what things will look like when i do.
good thing there aren't leaves on the trees yet, this is a branch-breaking storm.
but, yes we do need the moisture and i am sure I will be complaining about the heat in a few months
edit: according to the news, we've gotten seven inches up here so far. wonder if that's the west side of town

I sure wish we would get a little moisture before July, but I doubt it.
