I have wonderful people helping me to do the thing. I have a relatively nice new apartment to move into. I'll be living an upgrade because the new town is bigger with public transportation and lots of place to go, see, buy and stuff. I'm even kind of really packing with real boxes instead of trash bags.

But, I hate moving with the fire of a thousand suns. I hate it so much I want it to die. Moving is the black plague of my existence. I hate moving! I hate it!

21. Hire someone to do the heavy lifting...

and truck loading. For $250 and a 12-pack I had two guys with a 17' truck load and unload my place while I drank iced tea and directed traffic. It was well worth it. By the late afternoon I was in my new place and preparing my first dinner in the new digs.
