The new Vice series on HBO is AWESOME...and frightening, too.

The first episode still has at least one rerun coming up, I think.
This is a Bill Maher production, a news series with some TEETH in it.

The first 30 minute episode has two segments, one on the Philippines and
one on Afghanistan.

The Philippines episode blew me away. Shows a society at the complete
mercy of guns. Politicians are murdered there constantly. They don't seem
to have democracy, but more like a gang-run state. Terrifying. We need
strictly -enforced gun control NOW.

Glad we have a democracy and no gangs are running this thing and people are not blowing each other away often. That's good news.

No hegemony or tyranny to be found here as we have liberty and justice for all. Wonderful life.

I've heard of Vice Entertainment as being a decent news source which is pretty edgy and crazy.
