The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWhat posters did you have on your wall as a teen? Now? I had a saying "If you don't know
where you're going you'll probably end up somewhere else" on a poster on my wall as a teen. I thought it was hilarious. I thought I might have put up a centerfold of Shawn Cassidy on my wall but I don't think I had the guts to actually tell the world "I like Shawn". I was too repressed. Now I have posters and pictures of homes/gardens/nature and nature on my wall. One painting I love by Emily Carr I still have to hang after 3 years: [IMG][/IMG]

(66,352 posts)It turns out that it, along with all of his other sexy-lady posters, were his beard. He came out as gay much later on when we were both in our thirties. Oh well, I got Cheryl Tiegs out of the deal...

(272 posts)Nuthin'. I still don't decorate my walls unless someone does it for me, or makes me do it myself. I have a picture of myself as a teen sitting on my bed, and seeing the bare wall behind me is kind of depressing now that I actually notice it.

(21,925 posts)I bought several posters of Jimi Hendrix including ones at a concert where I got right up at the stage just a couple of feet from him and took his picture (I still have the photos in a chest). My Hendrix posters were all on my wall surrounding my Marshall 100 watt stack that I bought in England. I used to talk to them while practicing my guitar.

They keep me in the dark and feed me nothing but bullshit", an architectural drawing of "How to build a hamburger", a couple of other chicks in nearly naked states (but not at all, really), "Oh Hell, It's Monday" (kitteh), and about 30 others. They're all in a flat box in the basement. Yes, I'm sick, I still have them all.

This one:
[IMG][/IMG]
Hey now, it was the 80's. And Kirk, bless his heart, was soon replaced with Metallica, Skid Row and G'nR.
Right now - no posters. Nothing on the walls at all - just moved into a new place. I'll probably make my own art, or get my kids to make stuff - they are all very artistic and take art in their schools and come up with amazing things.
