(53,959 posts)I can't spell for shit either. I can speak a number of languages, can't spell well in any of them. This is the transliterated Hebrew version of Happy Passover, Chag Pesach Sameach. Thanks!

(38,958 posts)While also not religious, I think extending greetings and good wishes for those that celebrate that in which they believe is always appropriate.
So allow me to join you in also wishing a Happy Passover!

(11,087 posts)the Egyptians to get them to let His people go. 'Cause, see, it took their infallible God ten tries to convince Pharaoh. I can't help wondering if a slightly smarter God couldn't have done it in, say, seven plagues. Or a God really on the top of His game would just have arranged it so one day Pharaoh wakes up and the Israelites have already gone and a polite note says, "Dear Ramesses, My people and I have left. DO NOT try to follow us because . . . well, God wouldn't like it, and when he doesn't like stuff, smiting incidents may happen. Sincerely, your former adopted brother, Moses. P.S. Tell Mom not to worry, OK? I'm not gonna get lost in the wilderness or anything."
