Hulu boldly goes all out with complete Star Trek series

Geeks not too keen on basketball can have their own March Madness thank to Hulu, which is offering the entire Star Trek series free of charge for the rest of the month.

Yes. Every. Single. Episode.

Well, almost every episode, but 693 should be enough to keep one busy for the rest of March. The intergalactic event kicked off on March 22, in honor of William Shatner’s birthday. “Resistance is futile,” read Hulu’s geeky blog post (complete with GIFs!) about the event. “Almost as futile as controlling a population of tribbles.”

Not to be outdone by the jocks playing with a giant orange ball, Hulu said “iconic characters will face off in March Madness-style brackets, with Trek fans voting for their favorites...”

Mr. Hulu, Set a Course for Free Star Trek

This month marks William Shatner’s 82nd birthday, and to celebrate, the online video service Hulu is boldly offering more Star Trek than you can shake a bat’leth at. Until the end of the month, you can watch every single episode of every Star Trek series online — for free.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to re-visit some of your favorite classic episodes from each beloved Star Trek series, like “The Trouble With Tribbles,” or maybe “The Inner Light.” Or, if you’re like me, it might finally be time to sit down and give Star Trek: Enterprise the chance you never did before.

Um, I'm a little disappointed because I found out about this today, and then googled and found more, but can't get it to show up. It's supposed to be free, but all I'm finding are the Hulu Plus pages. His birthday is March 22nd, so this should go on through most of April. Well, some of you may get to enjoy this so good luck with it.

Oh yeah, I guess I'm not a kid anymore watching Star Trek on our little black and white TV.

Time flies.

Just had very tiny B&W to see the re-runs. Didn't see its original runs and just kept watching the repeats.

Gone years at a time without watching television on and off, so I am frequently out of sync with what people talk about. Just too busy for it.

Without the repeats, I'd hardly know a thing. Most threads in the Lounge that are about TV I never join in, as I have no idea what they are talking about.

Settling in for the night, have a good one wherever you may be.

Happy Birthday to William Shatner
Seem's like I am always a day late and a dollar short!

Thanks, freshwest.
