Character you related to as a teen? I felt a kinship with Melanie of "Gone With the Wind"

as a teen. I didn't like Scarlett. But the fact all the heroes were slaveowners was lost on me as a teen. Then I took a course on slavery in the US in university. Read slave narratives. That woke up the side of me that wanted to help the world as so many of my family had. Then I turned 25 and realized that I had been a total doormat when I related to Melanie. She was blind.

We can't what we are born into but we can help what we become.

Related more to him, he fought the fight. Stood up for all. Loved his sweet daughter Bonnie Blue with all his heart.

Scarlett never knew what she had until it was to late.

This was when the old pulp stories were being reprinted in the 60s...he was just cool beyond cool. Rich, knew everything, went all over the world saving people from injustice...and his enemies always died grisly deaths, falling into the traps they set for Doc. Nobody could touch him...

I related to Marlo Thomas and Mary Tyler Moore. Probably any young woman with dark hair on tv.
