(66 posts)Actually, I doubt any of them would know how to change the oil in a car of ANY age. Timing's all computer controlled now, but I can still do it on an old engine and I still have my timing light, although I got to a point where I just did it by ear. Six degrees BDC is pretty easy to judge just by twisting the distributor while you rev the engine at the carb. It's very close to becoming a lost art.

(25,771 posts)On their last test I gave them just excerpts from some of the fundamental Supreme Court Cases and had them write about the case and its significance - of course they had to figure out which case it was. Come to think of it, that was in the other half of this course.
