What do you look for in a summer day camp?

It's that time of year when we look for something to keep our 7-year son form sitting at home all day. We spent all of yesterday afternoon at the San Francisco Summer Activities Fair, with day camps teaching everything from science and engineering to cooking to arts and crafts. They all seem nice, but I think the best place he can be is in a place where he develops leadership and team building skills. What do you look for?
