The only thing you can't use duct tape for is ducts. talkingmime Mar 2013 #7

Well, no. It doesn't take heat well, but I have used it for mufflers. It gets gooey but works. talkingmime Mar 2013 #12

Not saying who, just the right person. It was time.

Steep learning curve on that episode.

Though, frankly, I really needed to hear the judge's assessments to really appreciate some of details in the dresses.

and I'm really glad they wound up on bottom. They're are lucky not to have been sent home. It was a cheap, tacky move.

of your work, they'll find a reason to keep you. But the one that got booted off was really not cutting edge. She does have a retro aesthetic. Maybe she's too young to understand that it means "old." And the competition was looking for fashion forward.

Somehow I faded on this season. PR overload or something. I do read Tom and Lorenzo's recaps, but I've never missed most of a seaon before and now you say there was a duct tape challege. That is not something one wants to miss.

With heating ducts it is subjected to enough heat to make it brittle but not enough to make it melt (as in mufflers). You have to use the shiny tape made for ducts instead. Then again, it was originally Army green and was used to seal ammo boxes and repair ships. Only the color has changed, well, there are a lot of colors now but I'm referring to gray.
