NYC Subway Musicians - Ebony Hillbillies



Background: The NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority holds auditions for musicians and singers and if you pass, you get a nice banner with your name to hang on the wall behind you (see video) when you perform in the subway and no hassles from the cops.

It doesn't say anything about a fee. I figure the performers do get to keep the donations, which are collected ye olden way in a can or instrument case. Most also have CDs for sale on the spot.
