Coupled with the dancing your OP the other day was absolutely stunning.

I wanted to learn how to play the violin, growing up in a 4 room apartment in Brooklyn, NY. Father came home, heard the neighbor on the second floor practicing and said Absolutely NOT. Just another of life's little disappointments...but the strings are my favorites! I could lose myself in Tchaikovsky's violin concerto...In fact some people think I already have!

Oh, I haven't an iota of musical talent...the violin would have been pure torture for any of those forced to listen!

My father was never mean, but he traveled and didn't know what was happening when he wasn't there. My relationship with him probably saved me from being totally self destructive.
