by default

(He's into weight-lifting and out the door by 5:30 every morning, so I guess he thinks this is part of his workout). Boy, did I get a great neighbor!

But geebus, I've lived in Colorado forever and most of my neighbors don't even have snowblowers. I've never had one. Nor do I want one. Those ergonomic shovels that let you essentially just push the snow out of the way have made it so much easier--even with heavy snow. (Of course not as easy as having my neighbor do it! )

There are also "snow-pusher" shovels... While they don't take all the work out of it by any means, they sure are better than the old time shovels from my adolescence.

They look dumb but they're a lot easier on the ol' back.

But I live in Texas. I think I'm the only person in my neighborhood who owns a snow shovel.

I heard there was this one year that we had an inch of snow but i think that is just a rumor.

He knows damn well that I'll shovel the driveway for him, but I think it's a 'pride of ownership' issue with him. I find it kind of sad.

In IL we legitimately DID have a lot of snow last night and the snowblower was the faithful tool but my neighbor is also one of those who just has too much damn time on his/her hands (they're a couple of yard maniacs).

It makes me crazy sometimes.

I haven't had to use it so far this year but the neighbors love me when there's a big snow on.

He was itchy to use it.

It has been a strangely snow free year so far. Especially compared to last years snowcasms/
