(18,482 posts)May you see God's light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
When the shadows fall-
You do not walk alone.

(20,219 posts)The 57-year-old fisherman now praises the local RCMP officers for passing their message on to the Defence Department and the coast guard.
They went to bat for us, he said.Mr. Stoddard said he and many other fishermen in the community still recall a lost vessel from 39 years ago, when another seven men were lost at sea and never recovered. There was never any closure to that accident. There was pleading to the authorities this time. We cant live through this for another 30 or 40 years, he said.

(8,646 posts)I had no idea that a DUer was related to these men. I've been watching and hoping against hope since I first heard, following every news report. What a devastating blow for the families. Know that there are quite a few people out here in Alberta sending the families our condolences.
