No offense to to my Northern Tier DU friends..
my constitution operates so much better in the absence of snow and cold and chilblains and goose pimples.

I managed to hit a few of those fall days last year. And there's some terrific restaurants (one less, since it went up in a huge fireball a day before the blizzard), but overall ... yeah. Once I realized I didn't have to stay there, I left.

My brother is nuts.

I like the 3 cone-shaped drifts behind that chair in the foreground.

I hope your brother likes snow, too.

I just love spring and fall, particularly the variety that you get in the mid-Atlantic and New England. But winter there just sucks. And this photo is a real good example of why it sucks.

It was 80 in my area of FL today. Come the dead of summer, I'll go someplace cooler for a while. Or hide out in the air conditioning.

My sympathies to all of you waiting out winter in places where you get weather like this. Have some hot cocoa, or mulled wine, or mulled cider, or Irish coffee. Watch a movie. Read a book. Snuggle up to someone who causes the blood to rush to your nether regions. Wait it out.

This too shall pass.

is that it's fun to go out and play in the cold and the snow. I would miss winter something fierce if I moved away from Wisconsin.

Hey,
I don't recall a storm so over-hyped where I live. We only ended up with 5 1/2 inches. The local weather guys were going crazy with the warnings, I realize it is not an exact science though, and some areas close did get zonked pretty good.

Peace
