I think it first came out in the mid to late 60s. I had a major crush on Millie Small. I even liked her voice, but then I was also a fan of Alvin and the Chipmunks. When I was a teen I thought she was just gorgeous and sexy and cute and lively and sweet and ... Incidentally, this tune by the Jamaican lass is the first major hit record in the "Ska" style.
