But I concur; don't call dachshunds "weiner dogs". And for fucks' sake, don't fucking call it a "dash-hound". I want to smack people who call them that...

And most people don't know how to properly produce the German "ch" sound. In some dialects "sh" is closer to what they would pronounce than the "spitting up" sound some people try and use.
