Are thoughts ever really random? Don't know, but it's a good question. I have to go to work now, so musing over it is out for the time being, though.

My thought for the morning is this: When I left the car to be repaired, why did I not think to take the scraper out of it to use with the rental? It snowed last night and not a spare scraper anywhere!

There are bunches of Polish bakeries around Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, no doubt other places. And they put in a few "all nighters" to make these over-stuffed doughnuts.

At 5:30am, there were lines out the door at some bakeries in Hamtramck (a traditionally Polish city within the city of Detroit). Lines at suburban bakeries weren't so bad.

I took a couple of dozen to work. Various fillings: custard, chocolate, apple, blueberry, raspberry, etc. I declined the ones with prune filling.

Anyway, no more paczkis this year. Lent has begun. (Day-old paczkis are, of course, cheap. And still good )
