Ann Rabson, the founder and de facto leader of the all woman Blues trio, Saffire:The Uppity Blues Women has passed away today, Jan. 30, 2013. I saw and met these ladies, and like most Blues artists, they were genuine. Ms. Rabson will be missed.
For more details, www.alligator.com. R.I.P. Ann, you will be missed. Think I'll play a Saffire cd in her honor.

They were too much fun, extremely talented & you're right, the most truly genuine people I ever had the good fortune to meet.

I fell in love with these guys the very first time I heard them.
Godspeed, Ann! We will all miss you, but I'm gonna keep on having fun--'cause you set the example!
