More of the same tomorrow. Then highs near 40 Tuesday and rain. Wednesday the bottom drops out of the temperatures.
Getting to work Wednesday and Thursday is going to be fun. I've always wanted to drive a minivan on a hockey rink.

(2,584 posts)driving on ice is NO fun!
As far as traction devices are concerned...nothing really works on ice.

(60,346 posts)My brother worked at the airport called us and said if we were going to leave we needed to get started. We got about 25 miles before we hit ice on the road about 1/2 inch thick.
Cars were going every direction but down the road, trucks just stopped where they were. We crept along at about 20 MPH, it took us 6 hours.
Just be thankful you don't have to drive mountain roads. The only time I have ever lost control was in West Virginia when i hit ice on a bridge on a curve. It was dark and my car spun around three times mountain on one side, drop-off on the other. All you think which way will I die, some one else took over the driving at that point, as we hit nothing.
The important thing is take it slow, leave lots of space to stop and always start slowing down early. If you car has ABS, don't pump them.
We are getting freezing rain right now west side of Cleveland.

(13,661 posts)Mid 40s tomorrow, then mid-60s Tuesday and Wednesday with "possibility of severe thunderstorms" on Wednesday. Then back down to 27 with snow by Friday.
Bizarre.
You be careful out there on the ice.
