(272 posts)One of my cats is the rare intelligent cat with no short circuits and a sense of perspective. Very close, very affectionate, no hang-ups. The other, his 8-year old littermate, is a "regular" cat. Affectionate one minute, loving to be petted, next minute energized and hissing. Even yowling. He doesn't know play from fight or relaxed and purring from aggressive and challenging. I've heard him purr and hiss at the same time and hiss and yawn at the same time. Cats are born with electrical shorts, and most of us are not electricians.
So, I hear your cat's message and disagree. You ARE a good mom!

Her main complaint is that, along with keeping her captive, I have repeatedly tried to waterboard her, and now have left her without food or water or a dry place to sleep.
