? for iPad owners -- does your iPad recharge very slowly if you don't use the Apple A/C adapter?

Just wondering if that is the case for other people? I have the latest iPad, bought it in late August.

When I use an aftermarket A/C adapter to plug in the usb recharging cord, it seems like it charges at about 1/4th speed versus the genuine Apple A/C adapter.

Weird.

The iPad is mostly battery and needs it's native charger to charge fast.

Thanks. Bad news -- I think I lost my original, my bad, I stuffed it in an unzipped side pocket of my iPad shoulder bag.

Good news -- there is an Apple store right across the street from my office in the mall. So, easy to go get another one.

Hey, thanks! Much appreciated.

They don't include a users manual so you have to look online for info.

I did read the same thing. The iPad needs more energy to charge than what a USB charge can provide.

My iPad2 takes about four or five hours to fully charge using the regular charging cord into the wall when I let the battery power get down to 40% or so.

There are probably some out there which will work, but it's just easier to use the apple one than to figure out after several hours that it ain't charging much.

Has the correct voltage to use to charge sine the iPad has a bigger battery. My iPad charges fast, and I love charging my phone on it. In less than an hour, full charge and lasts a couple of days.
