when it's time to get dressed, I head to the closet, toss that day's costume onto the bed, and toss a pair of socks on top of it before I head off to brush my teeth.

The cat waits on the bed to catch the socks. She's not being helpful. After catching the socks, she engages in a few moments of rolling around, administering teeth and bunny kicks, and then takes off with the socks. I have to go looking for them when I'm ready to put them on. She'll be waiting behind something to pounce out just as my hand reaches for the socks.
