My Friday night adventure:

I went to a mall on the far side of town this evening to visit the Barnes & Noble there. I grabbed something to eat after that, then hurried to the bus stop so I wouldn't miss the bus. Turns out I need not have hurried--there had been some drunk on the bus coming from downtown, and he had urinated in the back of the bus. We had to wait for a replacement bus to arrive. That took 30 minutes. There was a woman on the bus who wouldn't stop talking -- something about some soap opera she was addicted to, I think. Then on the way back, the driver stopped to pick up a woman in a wheel chair. He asked this guy in front to move because that was where the wheel chair securements were. Usually this does not present a problem, but this time the idiot decided to give the driver a hard time. The driver was in no mood to be messed with by this time, and an argument ensued. I thought, "Oh, no-- the driver is going to call the cops, and we're never getting downtown." The driver switched with the one taking the soiled bus to the garage in order to deescalate the situation, we got the woman in the wheelchair on board, and we finally got downtown--45 minutes late. I swear if I didn't ride the bus, there would be noooo excitement in my life.
