Those are two different questions.

5. It's named after a guy named Poinsett. He may have had little idea how to pronounce

his own name, but it looks pretty French so the first syllable would be pwan.

(Might be Belgian, same same pronunciation.)

In light of that, it's not too critical how we butcher his flower.
