4. I was told I'm too high of a risk. Can't even get a 10k burial policy. Booo!

Well, actually I can. Two companies offered me a policy but neither will pay out for the first two years. My heirs will get refunded whatever premiums I paid in. After two years and if I'm still kicking, then the policy go into full effect.

and the insurance company is betting that I will not. So if I win the bet, it doesn't do me any good, because I am dead and can't do anything with the money. And if I lose the bet, I am alive, which is good, but then I am out of of my money and so then I am old and poor

Can you explain this better?

Does collecting double indemnity have anything to do with doubling down?
